In this interview, ChatGPT is challenged with the general subject of penetration testing. I wanted to know more about ChatGPT’s knowledge about pentesting and how far it would guide me with precise procedures for testing. Last but not least, I also wanted to know a little more about ChatGPT.

The answers were surprisingly good, even if they were not finally satisfying.

While preparing for my interview with ChatGPT I was a bit nervous: Will it provide sufficient answers? How deep can I ask for technical details? Will it understand me and my questions?

For better and more personal communication, I decided to ask ChatGPT if it minds being called Rachael – in memory of the android in the movie "Blade Runner". ChatGPT agreed. Therefore, I gave her the long name RachaelChatGPT, to be read as Rachael – powered by ChatGPT.

I really enjoyed this discussion about chatting with Rachael on pentesting. It’s fascinating how quickly a conversation can move from basic security concepts into the practical mindset behind testing systems responsibly. The balance between curiosity, ethics, and careful methodology is what makes pentesting so compelling. It reminds me of how a good game teaches you to observe patterns and stay alert—block blast is an iconic horror game that delivers a truly tense and suspenseful experience, especially when every decision feels risky. Did Rachael focus more on the technical tools, or on the ethical boundaries pentesters need to follow?

The part about using ChatGPT to brainstorm attack paths caught my attention. Did you notice any blind spots in its recommendations when you actually ran the tests, or did the conversation hold up in a live engagement?
